Below are details of the projects I am currently working on. (Click here to read about other recent projects)
British Council – Acting as the Programme Manager for a vocal initiative entitled World Voice. The project aims to share British expertise in singing education with a worldwide community of children and their teachers; increase knowledge and understanding of singing cultures; create and distribute resources to enhance curricula; and work with local champions to ensure all children have access to singing opportunities through government understanding and buy-in to its value.
University of Winchester – I am an advisor/mentor to the Programme Leader for the BA (Hons) Vocal and Choral Studies degree; was asked to be part of the validation panel for the development of the degree in September 2012; and am now a visiting lecturer on the course giving lectures on workshop skills, and singing in education.
University of Surrey – In August 2013 I was appointed as an Associate Lecturer in the Music Department. In 2013/14 I have been teaching two modules – 'Contemporary Issues in the Cultural Industries' and 'Professional Investigation', both of which are for final year undergraduates. I am also a visiting lecturer for the English for International Communication Degree – teaching part of the 'Arts in Britain' module.
Arts Council England – In January 2010 I was appointed to be one of a national team of Artistic Assessors who support Arts Council England in visiting and assessing the activities of their Regularly Funded Organisations/National Portfolio of Arts Organisations. To date I have made over twenty visits – primarily to festivals and opera performances.
